Mother Teresa experienced darkness and uncertainty in her journey with the Lord. Her prayer was dark and often quiet. She asked God and often couldn’t hear Him whisper back. But her faith never wavered, and she never ceased trying to love those she encountered. She knew suffering and pain and grief as intimate friends. But she also knew her mission. She was called to embrace others in their pain, grief, and sorrow. She strived to make Jesus known, and for others to know their deep worth.
